Hello! And… goodbye!

This is the last post for RYMAC of the 2007-2008 year. We had some good times, some good meals, and a good amount of work to do, and it all starts again in August. RYMAC is one of the area governments that are closed over the summer, thus unrepresented in IRHA, so you’ll see us again in the Fall. If you’re a new student who somehow found this page before moving in, then I hope that we’ll see you around for Weeks of Welcome 2008, a full week of activities for those who buy activity cards. Looking to become involved? Email the new president, Rachel Christie, at rcracer@ufl.edu. She’ll probably get a @rymac.info email address later, but that’s her choice.

Thank you, everyone, for making this year… an interesting one, as well as a good deal of other adjectives. Be seeing you!

Hello again everyone. We’re almost done with the year… excited?

On April 20th we’ll have our last RYMAC Meeting, General Body Meeting, and… RYMAC Recognition Feast! What does that mean? It means that we’ll have $400 worth of Olive Garden salad, appetizers, bread sticks, and delicious entrees.

The menu so far is:

Pasta with alfredo
Pasta with marinara
Lasagna classico
Cheese ravioli
Five Cheese ziti al forno
Grilled shrimp caprese w. angel hair
6 Jumbo Garden-fresh salads
2 desserts

Delicious. You’ll need an activity card (from any area) to get in, or you can buy one for $2.50 at the event. This would be a very good idea, because I promise you that you can eat more than $2.50 worth of food at this event.

Also, congrats go out to Rachel Christie, for being awarded a “Dreamers and Doers” award at the IRHA Banquet from the IRHA Executive Board. Go Rachel!

Round one of the elections are complete! We will have another round soon for the unfilled positions, and the rest next Fall.

We have:

• Munir V as Treasurer
• Kate Simmons as Business Manager
• Van Hoang as Secretary
